ARTICLE 19 is pleased  to announce the upcoming 

‘Online Trainings on UN Mechanisms and Advocacy for Civil Society in Türkiye’.

The ‘Online Trainings on UN Mechanisms and Advocacy for Civil Society in Türkiye’ will aim to strengthen the capacity of civil society for effective advocacy within the UN framework. Key topics will include strategies for engaging with the UN Human Rights Council, navigating the Universal Periodic Review and Special Procedures, filing complaints to Treaty Bodies, and other advocacy methods with the UN. 

The trainings will be held in two sessions. It is possible to apply to attend one or both trainings.

Training on the Human Rights Council and Universal Periodic Review – 24 September 2024 11.00 – 12.30 Türkiye Time (GMT +3) 

Training on Special Procedures and Treaty Bodies – 22 October 2024 11.00 – 12.30 Türkiye Time (GMT +3) 

The trainings will be delivered in English with simultaneous interpretation in Turkish.

Applications will remain open until 20 September 2024 at 23.59 (Türkiye Time – GMT+3). Due to limited availability, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and only selected candidates will be notified.
